We had the pleasure of bringing an RZ Supra into our workshop for a comprehensive upgrade. Here’s a deep dive into the work we completed and how we pushed this machine to its limits.
Complete Fuel System Overhaul with Speedflow
A robust fuel system is the backbone of any high-performance car, and for this RZ Supra, we left no detail untouched. Using Speedflow hoses throughout, we ensured that every fuel line was durable, reliable, and capable of handling the demands of a high-horsepower setup. From supply to return, every component was fitted to deliver consistent fuel flow—a critical factor when chasing optimal performance.
Turbo Feed and Return Plumbing
Proper turbo function depends heavily on precise feed and return systems. We custom-fabricated the Garrett turbo feed and return plumbing to ensure flawless operation. Each connection was designed for flow and reliability, minimising any chance of leaks or restrictions. This step plays a crucial role in maintaining efficiency and longevity.
Custom 4-Inch Stainless Steel Exhaust System
To unleash the Supra’s potential, we fabricated a bespoke 4-inch stainless steel exhaust system. The entire system was designed in-house, from the turbo outlet all the way to the rear. A 50mm wastegate was plumbed back into the exhaust, ensuring precise boost control while maintaining an aggressive yet refined exhaust note. The high-grade stainless steel not only adds to the durability of the system but also enhances the aesthetics—a perfect blend of form and function.
Intercooler Piping with Hypertune Clamps
Using our Zoli Motorsport alignment tool (available in our shop) to ensure correct fitment, we upgraded the intercooler piping using Hypertune clamps throughout. Hypertune's clamps provide unparalleled reliability and leak-free performance under extreme pressure. Complementing this is a 100mm Hypertune intercooler, complete with cast end tanks and 3.5-inch inlet and outlet. The result is a highly efficient airflow system that maximizes power and keeps intake temperatures in check, ensuring the Supra delivers consistent performance even under demanding conditions.
Emtron ECU Package with Motorsport-Grade Wiring Harness
No modern performance build is complete without a state-of-the-art ECU. For this RZ Supra, we installed an Emtron KV8 ECU package, paired with a motorsport-grade sealed wiring harness. The wiring harness was custom-built to our high standards. The integration of the Emtron ECU allows for precise tuning, enabling us to unlock the full potential of every performance component.
Bulkhead Connectors and Zoli Motorsports Firewall Plate
To maintain a clean and professional setup, we incorporated two bulkhead connectors to pass through the OEM firewall hole. These connectors, mounted using our custom Zoli Motorsport firewall plate, not only simplify wiring management but also provide a secure and reliable seal. This ensures the integrity of the engine bay while maintaining an OEM+ appearance.
PMU 16: Powering Everything Forward of the Firewall
To streamline the electrical system, we installed a PMU 16 (Power Management Unit) to handle all electrical components forward of the firewall. This advanced system replaces traditional fuses and relays with a compact, programmable solution, offering increased control. The PMU 16 simplifies troubleshooting and ensures that all electrical systems function seamlessly, even under heavy loads.
Injector Dynamics 1050 Injectors
Fuel delivery was further enhanced with the addition of Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS injectors. Known for their reliability, these injectors are perfectly suited to high-performance cars. With their ability to deliver consistent fuel flow under demanding conditions, they play a vital role in maximising horsepower.

Every build has its unique challenges, and this RZ Supra was no exception. One of the most rewarding aspects was integrating modern technology into the classic Supra feel while maintaining a clean and functional appearance. The custom wiring harness and Zoli Motorsport firewall plate were standout elements that helped to achieve this.
Additionally, fabricating the 4-inch stainless steel exhaust system to perfectly fit the vehicle while maintaining clearance and functionality required precision fabrication and attention to detail. The result is a system that not only enhances performance but also elevates the car’s character.
The Results
With the upgrades complete, this 1994 RZ Supra is now a powerhouse on wheels. The combination of a robust fuel system, efficient intercooler setup, advanced ECU, and precision turbo plumbing has transformed it into a machine that’s as reliable as it is powerful. Zoli Motorsports also tuned the car upon completion, achieving an impressive 520 horsepower at the rear wheels on 98 pump fuel.
